I don’t expect you to be trained models. I will help you pose, keep you comfortable, and keep you laughing. When couples trust and focus on their partner, it’s easy to capture their love for one another.
Engagement sessions are the best way to get your camera-shy nerves out of the way and get a firsthand look at how I work. That is why they are complimentary no matter which wedding collection you pick. It is my free gift to you, one way I try to take stress away on your wedding day!

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE COLLECTION?

A preliminary meeting will take place once you have your venue booked. We sit down and discuss your vision for the day and devise a plan to achieve it.

A final meeting 4 weeks before your wedding. We go over every detail you have planned with enough time before the day to make minor adjustments if needed

Getting ready, ceremony, family portraits, off-site bridal party portraits, couple’s portraits, and reception pictures

2 weeks after: You will receive a preview of your wedding, which are the top moments throughout the day, to easily share with loved ones

6 weeks after: You will receive your full Online Gallery

8 weeks after: You will receive your Trailer of the Day, if purchased
WHAT IS THE PAYMENT PROCESS?
There is a 50% non-refundable retainer of your collection due at the time you sign the contract, and the remaining balance is due at our final meeting, one month before your wedding date.
DO OUR OUTFITS REALLY MATTER?
Yes, they do. Wear whatever is YOU! Anything that makes you comfortable will automatically boost your confidence. Pinterest has some great ideas of matching you and your partner for the engagement and wedding pictures.
DO YOU BACK UP YOUR PHOTOS?
Absolutely! I have a backup system that keeps my images in several different places. I always come prepared for a wedding with three camera bodies and lots of lenses, just in case. I recommend downloading your images from the Online gallery to an external hard drive. I store your final images for 5 years. After that, you can request that I store them for longer for a small fee, as a backup, in case a computer dies.

I’ve been taking pictures since I was six years old and got my pink Barbie camera for Christmas. I realized very early on that photography was more than documenting events- it was a passport into people’s lives. I see it as an opportunity to connect with people by capturing the most important moments in their lives. More than anything, I feel a sense of honor and privilege sharing in their journey and bringing out the best in each person I photograph. As much joy as I get from capturing those moments, I find it even more fulfilling to plan and coordinate their journey to be as stress-free and as enjoyable as possible.
I have been a day-of coordinator to over 125 brides! From orchestrating timelines, to decorating the aisle, pinning boutonnieres, folding pocket squares, tying ties, re-curling hair, and always being the one to bustle the dress (no bridesmaid needs to be on the floor). My greatest hits include nail-polishing a ripped veil back together moments before walking down the aisle, sewing an entire wedding dress strap back on in an elevator, and getting completely drenched, head-to-toe, from body-blocking a broken window in a limo when it started down-pouring.
Not only do I want to be your planner and photographer, but I want to be the person you go to for answers to crazy questions, your hype woman for all your wonderful or zany ideas, your location scout and coordinator, heck, I can even be your officiant (I'm ordained!). Making sure your wedding is the absolute best day of your life is my biggest passion.. well that, and finding the best burger in town!
Photography is one of the things that defines the person I am, along with being a loving mother and wife, a loyal friend, a movie fanatic, an adventure seeker, and a person who doesn’t need a dance floor, or music for that matter, to bust a move!

Sophie Sand Kannberg is a photographer, a designer, and a tattooed cat mom.
2025 is Sophie's fifth season with ASP!
She has been featured in Cleveland’s The Plain Dealer, Alternative Press, Cleveland Magazine, and more.
She graduated from Kent State University in May 2022 with a bachelor of fine arts degree in photography.
Sophie’s style of photography is a mix between lifestyle and editorial. She works on portraits, weddings, product and commercial photography, still life, and on location.

Kaitlin
Kaitlin Owens was inspired as a middle schooler to document life with a camera during the Myspace era. After countless hours tweaking the photos she took with her little pink point-and-shoot, she pursued a photojournalism degree at Ohio University.
After spending four years at the student paper, she took a brief step away from taking photos and educated new photographers at a local camera store instead. Working at a camera store allowed her to gain hands-on experience with every major camera brand and hundreds of different photo and video accessories. Kaitlin can pick up any camera and go!
Now, she is back full-time behind the camera as a medical photographer and assists and second shoots weddings to stay creative on the weekends. 2025 is Kaitlin's third season with ASP!
On her days off, you may see her rolling through Cleveland on her bike, heading to a local craft brewery, or on the couch cuddling with her cat, Pandi.
